if you've acclimated to the emergency, in-an-emergency items look merely *useful*
this is a note I'm making for myself, because my measurement basis resets *constantly* (seems to be a feature of my autism), which is good for calming and maneuvering but *not* for recognizing when I'm in a situation for which the in-an-emergency items were prepared.
an emergency is *an emergence*, right?
so for me it's more like... okay, emergence is baseline, so, looking across `baseline..novel` *inclusive*, is there a shape in there that matches the designation of this in-an-emergency item
... which I suppose means that every time I notice an emergency exit it'd make sense for me to consider whether or not it's useful to me *now*, without checking myself for an "emergency" label. interesting. okay.
this is coming up with regard to the in-an-emergency snack I had in my bag, a little sesame crisp bar thing. emergency lite; enough space around it for me to register that I was realizing that oh this *is* the kind of scenario for which I set this aside, and I can just restock it later for the next time around
